About Us
Zoom Car Wash is a family-owned business that has been serving the Stockton community for four decades.
What began as one man’s dream to bring quality car care to his hometown has grown into a full-service destination for car washes, detailing, oil changes, window tinting, gifts, and even hair care.
While studying Economics at UC Davis, Chris Buscaglia recognized the need for automotive related services to support a developing auto mall and neighboring communities on the north east side of Stockton. His goal was simple: open a professional car detailing shop that delivered exceptional results. But after years of research a full service car wash was born.
Taking that insight to heart, Chris opened Stockton Auto Center Car Wash and Lube, and almost 40 years later, the business has evolved far beyond its original concept. Today, Zoom isn’t just a car wash—it’s a complete car care and lifestyle experience.
A Family Affair
Family has always been at the heart of Zoom. Chris’s mother launched Past & Presents, a charming gift shop within the car wash, when Zoom first opened in 1989. She saw an opportunity to provide convenient access to gifts, greeting cards, and home essentials for residents east of Highway 99. What began as a thoughtful addition for busy locals has grown into a beloved boutique that attracts customers from Stockton, Lodi, and beyond.
Past & Presents’ buyers travel to major gift shows in Las Vegas, Dallas, and Atlanta twice a year to bring back the latest trends in handbags, hats, home décor, garden accessories, baby items, toys, and auto accessories.
Chris’s wife also played a key role in shaping the Zoom experience—managing the on-site hair salon and helping make Zoom a true family-driven business that welcomes every guest like part of the family.
